Emergency Department Nurse

We are seeking experienced and qualified nurses for the Emergency Department. The Emergency Department plays a crucial role in providing care to patients with medical emergencies or accidents requiring immediate attention.

Facility Overview

The Emergency Department features:

  • 44 beds within a state-of-the-art facility spanning over 45,000 square feet
  • Completely new entrances with a welcoming reception area
  • A convenient imaging suite
  • Fast-track area for expedited care
  • Dedicated behavioral health suite
  • Private treatment rooms
  • Family waiting area and consultation room

Job Responsibilities

The Emergency Department Nurse is responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality care to patients experiencing emergencies
  • Utilizing computerized charting for patient assessment and care documentation
  • Administering medications as per protocols
  • Collaborating with medical teams to facilitate timely interventions

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, particularly in a Level 1 trauma environment
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
  • Valid nursing license in Massachusetts
  • Epic experience preferred

Work Schedule

This position requires:

  • 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Availability for every other weekend and two holiday shifts each year
  • Consistent email communication for scheduling purposes
