Title: RN – ER

Location: Christiana Hospital, 4755 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Newark, DE 19718

Duration: 13 or 25 Weeks

Start Date: 01/12/2027 ONLY

Schedule: 3×12 Evenings | 11:00 AM–11:00 PM

Hours: 36 hrs/week

Scheduling: No Block Scheduling

  • Weekend: Every Other Weekend (EOW)

  • Holidays: Required

  • Call: None

  • RTO: Maximum 3 Days; ALL RTO must be submitted upfront — no additions/changes after submission

  • Experience: 2 Years ER experience required — No Exceptions

  • License: DE or Compact RN License in hand

  • EMR: Recent Epic experience required

  • Interview: Auto Offer (ER List A)

  • Unit: Emergency Department | 21–30 beds

  • Patient Ratio: Typically 1:4

  • Charting: Cerner

  • Scrubs: Navy Blue

  • Patient Population: Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult & Geriatric

  • Float: ED only; no floating outside Emergency Department

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity

    • Provide emergency nursing care, medication administration and ongoing monitoring

    • Respond to stroke, cardiac, trauma, cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest emergencies

    • Assist with moderate sedation, external pacing and other emergency procedures

    • Monitor vital signs, recognize changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately

    • Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans

    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR

    • Provide patient/family education and support during emergency treatment

  • Common Cases: Broad emergency presentations with limited EMS

  • Special Procedures: Moderate Sedation, Stroke/Heart/Trauma Codes, Cardiac & Respiratory Arrest, External Pacing

  • Submission Requirements: RN License # & expiration, certifications with expiration dates, full SSN, DOB & address
