Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Location: Not Specified. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care at a level I stroke, cardiac, and trauma center. The position requires dedicated commitment to patient-centered care within a fast-paced, large hospital setting, supporting a diverse patient population of all ages.

  • Shifts: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 48 hours per week
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Experience Required: At least 1 year of experience in emergency care, with proficiency in Epic charting system, arterial line management, ventilated patient care, central line management, interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias, and triage.
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
  • Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
  • Additional Responsibilities: Managing complex patient cases including multisystem organ failure and trauma, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams such as IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Candidates must include responses to specific questions regarding prior employment at a Providence facility, references, and ability to work back-to-back holidays.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC; Education required medical certifications; Location non-local; Experience at least 1 year; Skilled in Epic electronic charting system and emergency patient care.
