Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 3+ years of ER experience and multiple critical care certifications.

Details

  • Fast-paced Emergency Department treating all patient types including urgent care, psych, pediatric, and critical care/trauma cases
  • Bedside trauma RN role in the trauma room with 1:5 patient ratios
  • Manages critical care skills including medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tubes
  • Cerner EMR experience required
  • 3x12 mid shifts
  • 9-week contract assignment

Requirements

  • Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required (AHA certifications only)
  • Minimum 3 years of ER experience required
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
  • BSN highly desired
  • Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
  • Must be available to start within 7 days of offer

Additional Information

  • Coordinates and delivers care to patients with complex nursing needs to ensure safety, quality, and a positive patient experience
  • Candidates must live within 50 miles of the facility
  • Rapid start position with expedited onboarding available for qualified candidates who can provide required compliance documents
