Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring at least 3 years of ER experience and DC licensure for a trauma-level unit.

Details

• Fast-paced Emergency Department treating urgent care, psych, pediatric, and critical care/trauma patients
• Bedside trauma RN role in the trauma room with 1:5 patient ratios
• Manages critical care skills including medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tubes
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Cerner EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license in DC required, no pending licenses accepted
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS (AHA only)
• Minimum 3 years of ER experience required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• Cerner charting experience required
• Current national background screen, license verification, and certification documentation required for rapid onboarding

Additional Information

• Coordinates and delivers complex nursing care to ensure patient safety, quality, and a positive experience
• Must be available to start within 7 days of offer with no pushed start dates allowed
• Rapid start position with expedited onboarding process
• Must live within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates accepted given the 50-mile radius allowance
• Two supervisor or manager references preferred, verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
