Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our team in a small emergency department in North Kohala, Hawaii. This position requires a dedicated professional to provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency nursing care to patients in various critical conditions.
  • Utilize strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Effectively collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications and treatments as per established protocols.
  • Document all patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing.
  • Proficient in the use of EPIC electronic health record system.
  • Current certifications required:
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS)
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Availability to work on days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Holiday coverage is required.
