Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift Information

This position requires three 12-hour night shifts, from 7 PM to 7 AM, totaling 36 hours per week. Weekend commitment is required every other week. There are no on-call requirements for this role.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse who will also serve as a Charge Nurse. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department and be comfortable working in a Critical Access Hospital setting. This role primarily involves 60% Emergency Department responsibilities and 40% charge duties, including providing backup to Med/Surg and Stepdown units.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations of the Emergency Department while providing high-quality patient care.
• Assist with patient care in Stepdown and Med/Surg as needed.
• Lead and support nursing staff in daily activities.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Manage patient flow and prioritize patient needs efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current Emergency Room experience is required.
• Previous Charge Nurse experience is mandatory.
• A history of working in a Critical Access Hospital is preferred.
• Experience as a travel nurse is highly desirable.

Required Certifications

• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• Active American Heart Association PALS certification.
• Active TNCC certification.
