Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience required
• At least 1 year of ER travel nursing experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and must be maintained
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required and must be maintained
• Successful completion of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams required
• Strong English communication skills, including reading and writing
• Demonstrated experience with IV administration, IV starts, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring
• De-escalation certification preferred
• TNCC, ENPC, and PALS certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor patients, administer medications, and document responses accurately and timely
• Perform thorough patient assessments and maintain complete, up-to-date nursing documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and communicate plans of care
• Serve as charge nurse when needed and demonstrate strong leadership in the emergency department
• Provide patient and family education with a compassionate, service-focused approach
• Use computerized nursing informatics and other clinical systems effectively
• Assist with staff orientation, teaching, and serve as a resource for patient care questions
• Follow all safety and blood/body fluid policies while maintaining professional standards
• Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to teamwork and excellence in patient care
