Travel Nursing Job Details

- Schedule: 36 hours per week with guaranteed hours
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Shift: Nights, approximately 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.; every other weekend and rotating holidays

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department Registered Nurse experience
- At least 1 year of Emergency Department travel nursing experience
- Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Successful completion of required pharmacology and basic arrhythmia examinations
- Demonstrated proficiency with IV administration, IV starts, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- TNCC, ENPC, PALS, and approved de-escalation certification are preferred
Emergency Nursing Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive emergency patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing process
- Assess patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs throughout their care episode and contribute to appropriate discharge planning
- Administer medications safely and monitor patient responses
- Initiate and update individualized plans of care while communicating pertinent information to the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Provide skilled Emergency Department nursing interventions, including IV therapy, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator care
- Maintain accurate, timely, and current patient documentation
- Promote patient and staff safety by following blood and body fluid precautions and applicable policies and procedures
- Support patient education, service excellence, and respectful communication with patients, families, visitors, and colleagues
- Serve as a clinical resource for patient care, staff orientation, and education as needed
- Participate in quality improvement, professional development, required training, and department meetings
- Maintain confidentiality and perform additional nursing duties as assigned
