Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) nurse position located in a critical care hospital setting. This role involves providing urgent and emergency care to diverse patient populations, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The position offers a dynamic environment with opportunities to work with a multidisciplinary team and utilize advanced emergency nursing procedures.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 2 years of experience in emergency nursing, current ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma Level I or Level II emergency departments, prior community hospital experience, and competency with arterial line management, ventilator care, and trauma procedures.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to support pediatric and other units with support available when floated.
  • Additional Information: Candidate must be willing to work three of the five holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day). RTO requests should be submitted upfront, and flexibility beyond scheduled days or RTO may result in contract termination. The assignment involves responsibilities typical to emergency nursing, including management of complex trauma cases, procedural sedation, stroke care, and critical interventions.
