Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) nurse position in a healthcare facility located in a community setting. This role involves providing acute care to diverse patient populations, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The position supports a dynamic environment with a focus on patient safety, clinical assessments, and emergency interventions.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Valid State License (must hold a compact license at submission). At least 0 years of experience.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, EDAP or ENPC.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, level I or level II trauma center experience, community hospital experience, and specific trauma certifications.
- Patient Ratio Experience: Experience managing patient ratios of 4:1.
- Open to float: Yes may float to pediatric units and, if necessary, will have support from team members.
- Additional Information:
- Open to accommodating block schedules at manager discretion.
- Must be able to work two of the upcoming holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
- Candidates will be expected to work in an electronic charting environment using Epic.
- Must include response to previous employment at any Providence facility, including location and dates worked.
- References are required two references covering at least one year within the last three years.
- May be required to float to additional units such as Pediatric Emergency Departments.
- No call-in expected; candidates should not reach out to facility contacts directly unless scheduled for an interview.
- Candidates must be comfortable with a fast-paced emergency environment involving trauma, stroke, neurotrauma, orthopedics, and pediatric emergency cases.
