Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER)

The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) providing care in the Emergency Room (ER) plays an essential role in delivering holistic and patient-centered care to customers and their families. This position focuses on independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions, adhering to specific standards and competencies relevant to the ER setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments and establish nursing diagnoses.
  • Identify outcomes to be achieved and develop comprehensive care plans based on assessments.
  • Implement nursing interventions and provide care, continually evaluating patient progress.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care across disciplines.
  • Participate in shared accountability and decision-making processes related to nursing practices.
  • Promote and support exceptional customer care through effective leadership and practice standards.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of travel experience in the Emergency Room.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Current certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
  • Experience in caring for diverse patient populations, including neonates, children, young adults, adults, and older adults.
  • Experience in a Level IV Trauma Center.
  • Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records.

Work Schedule

This position comes with a 36-hour guarantee and requires working every other weekend. There are no on-call requirements for this role.
