Compensation & Schedule Details

  • Hours & Shift: 36 hours per week (12-hour Nights).
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

Key Facility Policies & Unit Scope

  • Department Overview: 12-bed emergency department (including 2 trauma/cardiac bays and 1 dedicated psych/safe room) averaging ~50 patients/day. Non-trauma, non-STEMI, non-stroke receiving center (neuro and traumas transfer out to Omaha facilities).
  • Patient Ratios & Support: Nurse-to-patient ratios typically no more than 1:4. Dedicated CNAs and House Supervisors available; 24/7 Respiratory Therapy handles ABGs, vents, and breathing treatments.
  • Triage & Floating: Triage is primarily handled by core staff, though experienced travelers may occasionally take triage with permission.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum recent emergency room experience required (Cerner EMR experience preferred). Comfortable managing critical care drips (vasoactive, sedation, etc.) and drawing lab work.
  • Licensure: Active Nebraska (NE) RN license or compact state license.
  • Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required.
