Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a high-acuity, trauma level healthcare setting with a focus on purposeful rounding and telehealth utilization. The position involves caring for patients across all age groups presenting with diverse emergency conditions, including chest pain, abdominal pain, orthopedic injuries, and stroke. Candidates must demonstrate a passion for emergency medicine, teamwork, compassion, and a positive attitude. This assignment offers a 12-hour day shift schedule, with responsibilities aligned to unit needs and no guaranteed block scheduling.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts (days), minimum of 36 hours per week, start date 09/28/2026, end date 12/28/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Two years of emergency department experience; certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and hospital workplace violence training.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Passion for emergency medicine, team player attitude, compassion, self-starter qualities, and ability to ask questions as needed.
  • Additional Information:
    • Not eligible for full-time, part-time, or PRN work with any facility associated with the healthcare provider.
    • Candidates must pass a clinical skills exam with a 90% score to avoid termination.
    • Artificial nails are prohibited for patient care staff.
    • Finger nail policies, dress code (navy blue scrubs), and a focus on purposeful rounding are emphasized.
    • Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system and Alaris IV pumps.
    • Charge nurse shifts and collaboration on staffing are maintained.
