Emergency Room Nurse (RN)

The Emergency Room Nurse provides critical care to patients experiencing urgent or critical illnesses, those requiring emergency interventions, and patients seeking treatment for non-urgent conditions. This role includes triaging patients based on their care requirements, conducting ongoing assessments, implementing immediate interventions, and providing discharge education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and triage patients according to their immediate healthcare needs.
  • Provide ongoing evaluation and monitoring of patient conditions.
  • Administer emergency interventions in a timely manner.
  • Offer education and resources to patients upon discharge.
  • Effectively interact with patients of diverse populations, including pre-natal, neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric groups.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

  • Active RN license in Massachusetts.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB).

Work Schedule

This position requires availability to work every other weekend.
