Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Urbana, Illinois.
Job Summary :
- Serves as a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients during a designated timeframe.
- Delivers patient care using the nursing process, current nursing trends, and technology.
- Utilizes financial and human resources within the philosophy and standards of the institution.
- Performs all required duties specific to the unit’s scope of service.
- Implements nursing procedures and theories related to the area of practice, specifically Emergency Department (ED) nursing.
- Completes initial patient assessments upon admission and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and providers.
- Implements and modifies care plans and nursing interventions based on ongoing assessment and patient needs.
- Maintains accurate, up-to-date documentation of patient care for use by the healthcare team.
- Ensures patient and staff safety by adhering to safety standards, reporting, and correcting hazards or incidents.
- Collaborates and communicates effectively with colleagues, patients, families, and visitors to promote a healthy work environment.
- Provides constructive feedback to peers and participates in professional development opportunities.
- Identifies personal learning needs and seeks appropriate solutions or training.
- Fulfills all departmental competencies and requirements.
- Requires a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant nursing experience, EPIC experience, and Illinois RN licensure in good standing.
- Must hold BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Med Ninjas Job ID #5220. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
