Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Urbana, Illinois.
Job Summary:
- Assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated timeframe, providing care using the nursing process and current trends.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities specific to the unit and scope of service.
- Implements nursing procedures and theories related to emergency department nursing.
- Completes initial patient assessment upon admission and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and providers.
- Executes and modifies care plans and nursing interventions based on continuous patient assessment.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation to ensure effective information sharing with the healthcare team.
- Ensures patient and staff safety by adhering to safety standards, reporting, and correcting hazards and incidents.
- Communicates effectively with colleagues, patients, families, and visitors to promote a healthy, healing environment.
- Provides constructive feedback and collaborates with peers to support professional development and knowledge sharing.
- Identifies personal learning needs and pursues opportunities for professional growth.
- Fulfills all departmental competency requirements.
- Utilizes and documents within EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Required to have experience in Trauma Level 1 or higher environments.
- Holds and maintains required certifications: Illinois RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS (American Heart Association).
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant nursing experience required; ASN required, BSN preferred.
Med Ninjas Job ID #6360. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
