• Contract Duration: 26 weeks
• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
• Shift Time: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Charting System: EPIC
• Care Environment: 65-bed ED with private rooms and trauma bays

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Illinois or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC or TNS
• Strong rhythm interpretation skills and comfort responding to critical and rapidly changing patient conditions
• Experience managing vasoactive, cardiac, and antihypertensive drips preferred
• Ability to work every other weekend and some holidays based on department needs
• Must provide requested submission documents and a negative drug screen

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population across all age groups
• Assess, stabilize, and monitor patients with a wide range of complaints and levels of acuity
• Care for critically ill patients, including those experiencing cardiac events, strokes, and trauma-related conditions
• Administer and titrate emergency medications and IV drips as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, charge nurses, techs, and support teams
• Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to life-threatening changes
• Support trauma and critical care workflows while maintaining patient safety, communication, and quality care
• Float as a help-all resource when needed, based on department priorities
