Job Summary

This position is responsible for interpreting medical care plans, assessing patients, making clinical decisions regarding nursing care, and ensuring that nursing care is provided safely and competently. The role involves delivering individualized nursing care and evaluating the nursing care provided to groups of patients.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain accurate and detailed reports and records.
  • Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions or side effects.
  • Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
  • Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Modify patient treatment plans based on responses and conditions.

Education

Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Licenses and Credentials

  • Registered Nurse (RN) - State License required.

Experience

Clinical nursing experience of 0-1 year required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with the principles and skills of practical nursing for patient care and treatment.
  • Understanding of the care required for the respective age groups receiving care.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and securely handle sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.
