Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse delivers high-quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process. This role involves collaborating with other healthcare team members to uphold professional nursing practice standards. Responsibilities include carrying out functions aligned with hospital policies, mission, and established professional and regulatory guidelines. The RN directs, coordinates, and delegates activities to foster patient and family-centered care.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients.
  • Plan and implement nursing care based on the needs of patients and their families.
  • Make appropriate interventions according to individual patient requirements.
  • Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
  • Assume personal responsibility for the delivery of quality patient care, patient satisfaction, and professional development.

Shift and Weekend Requirements:

Shifts may consist of 4 twelve-hour shifts with overtime available after 48 hours or 3 twelve-hour shifts with overtime available after 40 hours. Alternate weekends are required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Emergency Room setting.
  • Certification in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) is required.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from AHA are required.
  • Must possess an active state nursing license in Michigan at the time of submission.
