Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to patients of all ages, from infants to geriatric patients.

Job Details:

  • Contract Length: 16 weeks
  • Shifts: 3x12 or 4x12 hours accepted
  • Rotating shifts: Night and Evening (19:00-07:30 / 15:00-03:30)
  • Weekend rotation required: Every other weekend
  • Holidays: As scheduled
  • Floating: Within specialty as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care in the emergency department.
  • Handle a diverse range of patient diagnoses, including complex medical conditions.
  • Maintain a patient-nurse ratio of 1:4, accommodating up to 5 patients with lower acuity.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Adapt to varying assignment needs within the emergency department.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency department.
  • First-time travelers are accepted.
  • Current RN license in the state of Maryland.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH certifications required.
  • CPI certification to be completed during onboarding; NRP and TNCC preferred.
