Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse (ER) Location: not specified. This role involves providing urgent care in a fast-paced emergency department environment, serving patients of all ages with complex diagnoses. The position requires flexibility to work rotating night and evening shifts, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Job Details

  • Position: ER Nurse (Emergency Room)
  • Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week. Shift times range from 3x12 to 4x12 hours, with rotating night/evening shifts between 19:00-07:30 and 15:00-03:30.
  • Qualifications: Active MD or compact state license as an RN, with BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH stroke scale certification, CPI (completed during onboarding); NRP and TNCC preferred.
  • Experience: 2 years of ER experience, including patient ratio experience with a 1:4 ratio, up to 1:5 with lower acuity, and charting system experience in Epic.
  • Additional job details:
    • Must have recent charge nurse experience.
    • Community hospital experience preferred.
    • Knowledge and skills required include intubation, management of dysrhythmias, arterial blood gases interpretation, and emergency medication administration.
    • Ability to float within the specialty and sister emergency department facilities as needed.
    • No scheduled pre-scheduled on-call shifts.
    • Staffing includes every other weekend and holiday shifts as scheduled.
    • Must be comfortable working with all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics, in a high-volume environment averaging 90 visits per day with 32 rooms and 36 beds.
    • Certification compliance is required, including mandatory onboarding labs within 72 hours of signing and documentation deadlines within five days prior to the start date.
