ER RN Job Duties

• Provide direct nursing care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department with acute, urgent, and emergent conditions.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, vital signs, and ongoing monitoring.
• Prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical condition.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments as ordered.
• Manage patients with trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and other emergency conditions.
• Assist with emergency procedures, resuscitation, and stabilization of critically ill patients.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes requiring immediate intervention.
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, specimen collection, and other nursing procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
