Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are looking for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires education verification, a valid RN licensure in Wisconsin, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS certifications.

Shift Information

Mid-shift hours with weekend rotation required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to provide care for patients.
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures, as well as standards of care and state laws.
  • Documents according to established standards of care.
  • Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Develops, initiates, and executes an individualized patient plan of care, including instruction for patients and their families, as prescribed by the physician or facility policy.
  • Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance initiatives.
  • Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
  • Employs critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, and appropriately escalates issues to the chain of command.
  • Engages in the professional nursing continuum process, contributing to unit practice activities and decisions, as well as the peer review process.

Qualifications

  • Valid RN licensure in Wisconsin
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS/BCLS certification
  • PALS certification
  • TNCC or TNS certification
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a similar setting
