Experienced Emergency Room RN needed for a 12-week contract in Trenton, NJ, supporting float pool coverage, ED Holds, and medical-surgical telemetry patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting. Located in the Trenton 08638 area, this on-site opportunity offers convenient access to the greater Central New Jersey region along with the amenities, dining, and community resources of the state capital.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2020-$2130

• Shift Duration: 12 Hour Nights
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Floating: Required between campuses and to MST units or ED Holds as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent medical-surgical telemetry (MST) nursing experience required
• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIH certification
• Ability to work night shift hospital nursing in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Flu vaccination required

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care for patients in ED Holds, emergency department overflow, and medical-surgical telemetry settings
• Float between assigned campuses and units based on patient care needs
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status accurately and promptly in Cerner
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, high-quality patient care
• Support patient care needs in accordance with unit workflows, clinical protocols, and RN scope of practice
• Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain compliance with scheduling, documentation, and unit-specific protocols
