• Setting: Emergency Services / Level III Trauma Center
• Location: Spokane Valley, WA 99216
• Orientation: 1 week of onboarding, Epic training, skills check-off, and precepted shifts
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers may be considered
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI or MOAB, and NIHSS
• Epic EMR experience is required for this travel RN assignment
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and prioritization skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Emergency Department patients across a broad range of acuity levels
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients presenting with chest pain, abdominal pain, stroke symptoms, respiratory distress, psychiatric concerns, and pediatric complaints
• Administer emergency interventions and support procedures including TNK, conscious sedation, chest tubes, and central lines as appropriate to scope and competency
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, techs, respiratory therapy, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure safe and efficient patient flow
• Maintain accurate documentation and workflow using Epic and other clinical systems
• Deliver patient-centered care while helping maintain a positive, professional, and supportive unit culture
