Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Longview, Texas.

Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse practices independently within a clinical setting and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. Responsible for providing both routine and complex care, the nurse will focus on long-range goals and plans while developing skills to manage clinical contingencies effectively. The role involves making appropriate assignments and delegating tasks to other care providers as necessary to manage various clinical situations efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Meets expectations of relevant leadership competencies.
  • Consistently provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
  • Addresses the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, in accordance with their level of practice.
  • Administers medications and treatments according to established protocols; monitors for side effects and the effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
  • Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
  • Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and resources.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.

Experience:

  • One year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:

  • Current BLS certification required (AHA only).
  • Current ACLS certification required (AHA only).
  • Current PALS certification required (AHA only).
  • Current TNCC certification required.
  • RN License in the state of TX or compact.

Position Requirements:

Education/Skills:

  • All newly hired experienced RNs must attend orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
  • New hires will be precepted by a designated trained staff member and are required to complete competency validations specific to the organization.
  • Newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or other specific orientations.
  • Annual competency verification requirements must be completed.

Experience:

  • One year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.
