Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
• 12-hour day shifts from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Possibility for on-call shifts, which would be requested in advance but would rarely occur
• No float requirements
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience preferred; if no prior travel experience, 2 years of Trauma Level I or II experience is required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Pyxis medication dispenser experience preferred
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, performing nebulizer treatments, and working in a fast-paced Trauma Level II environment
• Unit includes 18 beds and covers stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, respiratory, and more
• 3 to 4 patients per nurse ratio
• X-ray staff and respiratory therapy available on-site in the emergency department
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage change, work independently, and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Scrub color: Any color
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred

Facility:

This is a Trauma Level II facility with an 18-bed emergency department that is stroke certified and equipped to handle a wide range of patient populations including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory cases. The emergency department operates at a fast pace and is supported by in-house laboratory services, respiratory therapy, and on-site X-ray staffing. The facility utilizes EPIC for electronic charting and Pyxis for medication dispensing, providing a well-equipped and structured environment for emergency care professionals.
