Job Summary:
The Emergency Room (ER) Nursing position is located in Jackson, Michigan. This role involves providing leadership in the coordination and delivery of compassionate, high-quality patient care within a trauma-level 2 emergency department. The ER Nurse utilizes the nursing processassessment, planning, implementation, and evaluationto deliver, delegate, supervise, and document care and education for patients and their families. Effective communication of relevant patient information to the healthcare team is essential for success in this dynamic environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week; 13-week contract length; auto offers approved; OT billed after 48 hours
• Required Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years Emergency Department (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) experience - Nursing degree from an accredited school - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) - Michigan RN licensure - Previous experience in a trauma level 2 emergency department
• Skills: - Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned - Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services - Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Required Education: - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Preferred Education: - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Required Certification & Licensure: - Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
