Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
• Community hospital emergency nursing experience required
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6 preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner charting preferred
• Experience supporting behavioral health, rapid evaluation, and general emergency care preferred
• Ability to work rotating weekend coverage and holiday shifts as needed
• First-time travel nurses may be considered if all experience requirements are met

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in a fast-paced emergency department
• Support two locked behavioral health units within the ED, collaborating closely with security and care teams
• Work within rapid evaluation units to assist with urgent care and critical care needs
• Deliver care for a wide range of emergency presentations, including stroke, STEMI, trauma, and general medical concerns
• Safely manage IVs, medications, monitoring, and interventions according to ED standards
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner, including FirstNet and Launch workflows
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to support efficient patient flow and quality outcomes
• Maintain a professional, team-focused approach in a high-volume environment averaging about 120 visits per day
