Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Specialty position located in a community hospital setting. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care across a diverse patient population, including geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients, with a focus on trauma and critical cases. The position requires flexibility to work nights, with a comprehensive orientation program to ensure clinical readiness.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, nights, with a schedule cycle of 6 weeks; shift times include 7p-7a.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI or MOAB, NIHSS certifications. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department care; support on the unit includes ER techs with phlebotomy certification, and nurses trained in US-guided IVs.
- Preferred Qualifications: 5 years of experience in specialty preferred.
- Additional Information: The hospital is a 21-bed facility with a Level 3 Trauma Center designation. It serves a mixed patient population with an approximate nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. The hospital utilizes EPIC electronic medical records, has 24/7 telemetry monitoring, and provides a one-week orientation including skills check-offs and precepted shifts.
- Support on the Unit: Phlebotomy-capable ER techs, 24/7 lab, and support staff, including support from department and critical care floats if needed. The team works in a collaborative environment providing excellent patient care.
