Job Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of RN experience, preferably in emergency nursing or acute care
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
• Current RN license eligible for submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS or ASLS
• Strong MEDITECH charting experience required
• Ability to work in a high-acuity, high-volume emergency department setting
• Must be comfortable following a strict callout process and attendance expectations
• Caribbean blue scrubs required
• Completion of week-one orientation is required and may not be rolled over without approval

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Emergency Department patients across the lifespan
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in a busy ER environment with approximately 180–200 visits per day
• Perform emergency nursing duties including IV starts and lab draws as needed
• Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapy, and support staff
• Care for a broad mix of patients, including trauma, neuro, stroke, ortho, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Support safe, efficient patient flow in a setting with behavioral health and seclusion room resources
• Maintain accurate documentation in the MEDITECH EMR
• Work effectively with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio and contribute to a strong team-based environment
• Follow department protocols, safety standards, and emergency care best practices
