• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 to $2,010
• Assignment Length: 17 weeks
• Start Date: 9/14/2026
• End Date: 1/11/2027
• Shift Notes: Nights with every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Orientation: Floor-specific orientation with completion expected during week one
• Charting System: MEDITECH 6.15
• Work Environment: Acute-care emergency department with trauma, neuro, ortho, and stroke patients

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• At least 5 years of emergency nursing experience
• At least 1 previous travel assignment
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS or ASLS certification
• Experience with MEDITECH required
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced ER with patient volumes of approximately 180 to 200 visits per day
• Ability to manage a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and rotating holidays as scheduled
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a high-acuity emergency setting
• Compliance with assignment expectations, including callout procedures and timely orientation completion

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, efficient care to emergency department patients of all ages
• Perform nursing assessments, initiate treatment plans, and monitor patient response
• Support care for trauma, neuro, orthopedic, stroke, pediatric, and adult patients
• Start IVs, assist with lab draws, and collaborate closely with the care team
• Work alongside charge nurses, paramedics, security, respiratory therapy, and providers in a collaborative environment
• Manage patients requiring observation in the ER until admitted or transferred
• Document accurately and efficiently in MEDITECH
• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care while maintaining professionalism in a busy emergency setting
• Follow unit guidelines for scrubs, scheduling expectations, and callout procedures
