Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse position is available at a healthcare facility located in Salem, Virginia. The role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a 27-bed unit with a patient ratio of 4-6:1. This position requires the ability to work day shifts with a scheduled start date of September 7, 2026, and an ending date of December 7, 2026.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; 2-3 years ER experience; completed 2-3 travel assignments
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in high acuity and fast-paced ER environments, with patient ratios of 5:1
• Unit Information: 27 beds, 50 RN staff with additional medics, no float rotation required
• Typical Procedures: RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, psych patient care, EMTALA transfers
• Personality Fit: Relaxed, easy-going, friendly, team-oriented, respectful
• Dress Code: Navy blue or white scrubs
• No on-call requirement; weekends scheduled four shifts within a four-week period (Friday or Saturday for night shifts; Saturday or Sunday for day shifts)
