Emergency Room (ER) nurse position located in Salem, VA. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment within a 27-bed unit. The nurse will be responsible for patient assessment, treatment, and stabilization, working evening shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The assignment is designed for nurses with prior ER experience who thrive in a team-oriented setting.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Evenings; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); 2-3 years of ER experience; completion of 2-3 travel assignments

  • Additional Information: No float required; the unit maintains a relaxed and team-oriented culture; staffing includes a charge nurse, RNs, and medics; no on-call responsibilities; four weekend shifts are scheduled within a four-week period, with shifts falling on Fridays or Saturdays for night shifts and Saturdays or Sundays for day shifts.
