Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse Sioux City, Iowa. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care as part of an interdisciplinary team in a Level 3 trauma center. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute clinical expertise, demonstrate versatility to float within the same discipline across local campuses, and adhere to hospital protocols. The assignment starts on 08/31/2026 and offers an opportunity to work nights with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid drivers license, work history/resume, skills checklist completed within 1 year, license verification, copies of certifications including ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC, Iowa state license, and at least 1 year of emergency room experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Level 2 or Level 4 trauma center is advantageous
  • Additional Information: This role involves quick communication via phone call or text from a 405 area code for candidate viability. The traveler may float within the same discipline across local campuses. Orientation is scheduled for May 26-27 and June 8-9. The position requires work during summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day), with work on 1-2 of these days expected. Certification verification and supervisory references are required at submission. The traveler must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility, except in Madison where local candidates with a 10% rate reduction are accepted. The facility is a Level 3 trauma center with certifications including TNCC, BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
