Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Maryland or a compact state license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
• At least 1 previous travel nursing assignment required
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• Preferred certifications include TNCC, CPI, and MAB
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Strong skills in IV starts, phlebotomy, triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency medication management
• Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment
• Comfortable working in a high-volume Emergency Department with urgent and emergent patient needs
• Flu vaccination required

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
• Perform triage, rapid assessments, and ongoing monitoring for a diverse patient population
• Start and maintain IV access, complete phlebotomy, and support medication administration
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate timely care
• Provide care for adults, pediatrics, and other age groups as needed in the Emergency Department
• Maintain accurate documentation and support smooth patient flow in a busy clinical setting
• Work rotating weekends and holidays as needed to support department coverage
