- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
- Patient Volume: Approximately 115-150 visits per day
- Patient Ratio: 1:4 on nights and weekends
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Maryland or compact licensure eligible for assignment
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ER nurse or emergency department nursing experience required
- At least 1 previous travel nurse assignment required
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
- Previous charge experience preferred; will consider candidates without charge experience
- Strong skills in triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy
- Experience with emergency medications, dysrhythmia interpretation, and central line care/management preferred
- Cerner experience preferred
- Comfortable working in a busy emergency department with patients across the lifespan
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients with urgent and emergent needs
- Perform triage and support efficient patient flow in a fast-moving emergency room environment
- Initiate and maintain IV access, obtain specimens, and assist with phlebotomy tasks
- Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition with clinical urgency and sound judgment
- Administer emergency medications and support care for a wide range of adult and pediatric patients
- Collaborate with physicians, support staff, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
- Contribute to a safe, organized, and patient-centered emergency department
- Step into charge responsibilities as trained and assigned
