Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room team. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about emergency care and possess the skills necessary to thrive in critical situations.

Shift Schedule

This position requires night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00). There are no block schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessment and care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond effectively to emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing.
• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications are required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.

Additional Information

Weekend work is required every other weekend. There is no on-call duty associated with this position. Floating to other departments within the facility may be required as per scope of practice.

Compliance Requirements

Full compliance with all necessary certifications and training is required to ensure timely start dates. Non-compliance may result in delays of up to two weeks.

Holiday Requirements

If assigned during a major holiday period, the nurse is expected to work as follows:

• One major holiday: expected to work one.
• Two major holidays: expected to work both.
• Three major holidays: expected to work at least two.

Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day.
