Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Information

Join a dynamic and fast-paced team in a 24/7 facility located in Corpus Christi, TX. This unit features:

  • Number of Beds: 15
  • Staffing: Day Shift – 3 RNs, and EMT-P/Nurse Extern; Night Shift – 3 RNs and EMT-P
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4, dependent on acuity
  • Type of Equipment: Baxter pumps, Hamilton vents, GE cardiac monitors, and Stryker stretchers
  • EMR: Meditech

Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Rapidly identifying cases of Sepsis, STEMI, Stroke, and Trauma
  • Performing various procedures including splinting, wound care, IV starts, medication administration, assessments, and re-assessments
  • Providing oversight of EMT-P staff
  • Maintaining clear and accurate documentation

Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Required Certifications:
    • BLS
    • ALS
    • TNCC
    • CPI or equivalent
    • PALS or ENPC
  • Essential Skills:
    • Compassion and a sense of urgency
    • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player
    • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Experience with airway management and ventilators

Working Environment

The typical dress code involves wearing royal blue scrubs. It is also important to clock out for lunch breaks and any time spent outside the building, while ensuring proper communication with the Charge Nurse Coordinator.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability for shifts every other weekend, with no on-call responsibilities. Join us in providing exceptional care in a supportive and fast-paced environment!
