Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery Unit. The successful candidate will work 12-hour night shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend and some holiday shifts. This position does not require on-call duties.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
  • Utilize knowledge and experience with the NextStage Continuous Veno-Venous Hemofiltration (CVVH) machine.
  • Monitor patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgeries or in acuity adaptable settings.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Prior experience in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is required.
  • Experience and knowledge of the NextStage CVVH machine is essential.
  • Experience in cardiothoracic surgery and/or acuity adaptable areas is preferred.

Additional Information

The registered nurse will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. This role offers an opportunity to grow and enhance your skills in a dynamic healthcare environment.
