CVICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position will involve working 12-hour shifts, with rotating day and night schedules, including every other weekend and some holidays. The role requires a strong background in Cardiovascular Intensive Care, and familiarity with specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care to patients in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, utilizing telemetry and other specialized equipment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.

Qualifications

  • Current RN license is required.
  • Experience in CVICU is mandatory.
  • Proficient with the NextStage CVVH machine.
  • Previous experience in cardiothoracic surgery or an acuity adaptable area is preferred.
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Additional Requirements

Travelers will be required to successfully pass a telemetry test prior to commencing employment.

Schedule

This position requires rotating shifts of 12 hours, including:

  • Day shifts from 07:00 to 19:30
  • Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
