Job Summary:
The ICU Cardiovascular (ICU CV) specialty position is located in a high-acuity unit within a healthcare facility. This role involves providing advanced cardiovascular and thoracic patient care, including managing complex medical devices and performing specialized procedures in a dynamic environment. The position requires a nurse experienced in critical care with the ability to adapt to rapid patient changes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, working 0700-1930 or 1900-0730, with every other weekend, some holidays, and no call.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, ACLS, BLS certifications, wellness in managing arterial lines, chest tubes, ventilators, and various cardiovascular procedures. Minimum 0 years of related experience, with previous critical care experience strongly preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in cardiothoracic surgery, CVICU, or with advanced cardiovascular life support devices such as Impella, ECMO, IABP, and LVAD.
• Additional Information: Travelers must pass a telemetry test prior to start, with attempts allowed as specified. The unit supports adult and geriatric patient populations with a daily census of 26 patients. Involves comprehensive patient monitoring, invasive procedures, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency with Epicor charting system and possess flexibility to float as needed within the facility.
• Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, and a valid RN license (WI or compact). The role involves working in a Magnet-designated, top-ranked hospital environment, supporting complex cardiac and thoracic surgical cases, and managing critically ill patients with multi-system organ failure or post-operative needs.
