Job Details

• Position Description: The ICU Cardiovascular Specialty Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for critically ill patients with a focus on cardiovascular conditions. This role includes patient and family education on health promotion and disease management, along with adhering to all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements.
• Required Qualifications: Current New York State Registered Nurse License; BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross); ACLS Certification; Six (6) months to three (3) years of Nursing (RN) experience in an ICU or acute care setting.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The nurse must have experience with intensive cardiac patients, including management of conditions such as CHF, COPD, end-stage heart failure, cardiogenic shock, septic shock, GI bleeds, CRRT, IABP, Impella, and normothermia. They will perform duties related to the Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator role when assigned, participate in the Clinical Ladder Program, and support professional development activities.
