CVICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic medical team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cardiovascular intensive care nursing and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
  • Monitor patient condition and implement care plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Perform ECG rhythm recognition and maintain proficiency in medication safety.
  • Participate in ongoing educational opportunities and training sessions.
  • Work at least every other holiday to support staffing needs.

Qualifications

  • 12 months of permanent experience in CVICU or a related specialty is required.
  • A valid and unrestricted Ohio nursing license or a compact state license is mandatory.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) are required.
  • Completion of ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation, with acceptable scores on both.

Work Schedule

This position requires a night shift schedule, with three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
