Opportunity:

RN - High Acuity Float Pool

Job Details:

• Day shift position working 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 3 weekend shifts required per schedule
• Holiday requirements apply
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Self-scheduling available
• Float pool covers multiple units including Critical Care Unit, Observation, Med Surg, General Surgery, Ortho Surgery, Short Stay Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Telemetry, and Progressive Care
• Nurse-to-patient ratios follow standard AACN CCU staffing guidelines - typically 1:2 depending on acuity, may be 1:3 for lower acuity assignments
• Must have EPIC experience
• Must have prior floating experience (float pool shifts, other facilities, and/or floating to other floors/units)
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience required; high acuity experience preferred
• RNs required to titrate drips including Epi, Norepi, Dobutamine, Propofol, Esmolol, Hydromorphone, Midazolam, and CIS
• RT equipment used includes ventilators, high flow, BiPAP, and CPAP
• Phillips monitors utilized; RNs are required to read strips with at least one monitor tech available
• Nurse aides available, typically 1-2 depending on daily census
• Charge nurses and residents are assignment-free
• Assignments distributed by charge RN at 0645 with RNs choosing assignments
• Scrub color required: Royal Blue
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Washington state or Compact nursing license required
• Hospital orientation held on Mondays (weekly)
