Job Opportunity – Case Manager RN – Alaska
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, day shift with varying start times; includes every other weekend or 4 weekend days per 4-week schedule; Monday through Friday business hours with weekend rotation to meet departmental needs; guaranteed 70 hours per 2-week period
Highlights:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 30 patients across multiple age groups including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics

- Epic EMR system utilized facility-wide with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, social services, respiratory therapy, and rapid response teams
- Focus on discharge planning, utilization review, care coordination, appeals and denials, and medical necessity determinations
- 13-week assignment with opportunity for floating within case management services to support department needs
- Acute care hospital setting with 407 staffed beds and average daily census of 324 patients
Requirements:
- Active Alaska RN license in hand required
- Minimum 1-2 years of acute care hospital nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- BLS certification preferred
- ACM-RN (Accredited Case Manager) certification preferred
- Experience with InterQual criteria, Milliman guidelines, ICD-10 coding, and utilization review processes preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Teams preferred
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Willingness to float within case management services as needed
- Ability to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
