Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room RN – Pennsylvania

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, block scheduling, on-call requirement averages 2 weekends every 6 weeks (Friday/Saturday/Sunday), 1 winter and 1 summer holiday requirement
Highlights:
- Cardiovascular Operating Room position requiring both scrub and circulator competency for complex cardiac procedures including CABGs, valve repairs/replacements, heart transplants, dissections, and LVADs
- Trauma Level II facility with 1:4 staffing ratios and no floating requirements
- Epic charting system with 40 hours of paid orientation
- Scrubs provided by facility
- Travel assignment with opportunity for first-time travelers with appropriate cardiac OR experience
- Adult and geriatric patient population in specialized cardiovascular surgical setting
Requirements:
- Active Pennsylvania or Compact State RN License required at time of submission
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and TNCC required; CNOR preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiovascular Operating Room experience required
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Demonstrated competency in both scrubbing and circulating for cardiac surgery procedures
- Experience with complex cardiac procedures including coronary artery bypass grafts, aortic and mitral valve repairs/replacements, heart transplants, aortic dissections, and ventricular assist devices
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 1:4 patient ratios preferred
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Successful completion of facility-specific competency assessment
