Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting during night shifts
- Manage and monitor post-operative open-heart surgery patients during the recovery phase
- Operate and manage mechanical circulatory support devices including Impella and intra-aortic balloon pumps
- Adhere to unit guidelines for weekend, holiday, and float coverage as required
- Complete all required learning modules and maintain compliance with facility standards prior to and throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 24 months of CVICU experience, with experience within the last 12 months
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Arizona, verified within the last 30 days, with no disciplinary actions
- Active BLS certification from AHA, ARC, or ASHI
- Active ACLS certification from AHA, ARC, or ASHI
- Valid driver's license required to verify residency
- Arizona residents are not eligible for this assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Direct open-heart recovery experience with a strong focus on Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump management
- Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
