Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30 or 19:00–7:30) | Every Other Weekend | Some Holidays | No Call
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting
- Operate and manage the NextStage CVVH machine for continuous renal replacement therapy
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-acuity cardiovascular care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the CVICU specialty
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the NextStage CVVH machine
- Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required; strict pass/fail criteria apply with up to three attempts)
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — locals not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Cardiothoracic Surgery setting
- Experience in an Acuity Adaptable care environment
